I chose Aultman’s Emergency Residency because of the high-acuity cases residents are exposed to, without the competition from surgical residents. This was especially important to me, as I want to be fully prepared to manage trauma if I practice in a smaller community hospital. During my shadowing experiences, I also felt a strong sense of community and saw firsthand how well-supported the residents truly are.
What I appreciate most about this program is how dedicated the attendings are to teaching. I never feel like I’m just in the way – I feel like I’m truly here to learn and grow into a stronger resident and future physician.
